The CFAN mission statement reads in part, "CFAN supports student achievement in Fine Arts by supporting SCUC ISD educational goals in Fine Arts."
CFAN takes the goal one step farther to support achievement in Fine Arts beyond the secondary schools by awarding four scholarships each year. The scholarships are open to any graduating senior in the SCUC ISD who intends on pursuing a degree in one of the Fine Arts disciplines.
The application process is very simple:
- Be a high school senior graduating from Samuel Clemens, Byron Steele or Allison Steele High Schools.
- Be accepted to an accredited college, university or degree program to pursue a course of study in one of the Fine Arts for the fall semester immediately following graduation, a copy of registration will be required.
- Completed application, a letter of reference from a Fine Arts teacher, high school transcript, and portfolio of work.
- Portfolio of Work is dependent upon your art.
Portfolio of Work
-Visual Arts-- Drawing, Sculptures, Collages, Paintings, Sketches, photographic art or film
- Video Performances - Please make sure that any DVD recordings are presented in a standard format viewable on a PC
- Audio Selections - Please make sure all electronic recordings are presented in a standard format that can be played on a PC
